“Based on many questions we have from our everyday lives, the answers are just inside ourselves. Our foundation has the mission to work closely to the deaf and deaf–blind to enhance those people’s lives. We will do our best to increase all the possibilities by promoting events to provide those special needs persons a feeling of equality, happiness, and capacity in the society. The sunshine is there for every one of us. Let’s sparkle the deaf and deaf-blind activities to foster their full integration into the community and personal growth.”

The Arlete Rocha Foundation for the Deaf is the dream child of Arlete who has worked with the deaf and deaf-blind with caring sensitivity since 1988. This Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, is the passion of her heart. Arlete’s sensitivity and experience through those years combine to bring a dimension of lifestyle opportunity to these exceptional persons. Arlete is confident that together we can build a better society to accept the differences among people. She believes there is a huge potential behind the silence of the deaf and deaf-blind. She has a history in Brazil of bringing Innovation to the communities she touched with her events and programs.
Arlete wants to invite you to be part of these exceptional people's world and let them know that we are there to help them to live in the fullest in our society. Love, passion, respect, and acceptance are the key words to succeed in this pathway.
